In November 2007 we joined up with our travel buddy Dave and made a trip to Roatan, Honduras for a couple weeks of fun and adventure.
We spent the first week diving at Anthony’s Key Resort (AKR) on the North side of the island. For the second week we moved to CoCoView(CCV) Resort on the South side of the island. We were thinking that this would give us a chance to try the diving on both sides of the island. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t co-operative delivering high winds and heavy rain. We ended up being bussed to the South side of the island for a couple of dives a day for the first couple of days that we were diving. The water settled down for the rest of the week and we returned to diving on the North side.
A highlight of the week was getting the chance to dive with Dolphins from the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences. We met the dolphins in their pens and then got the chance to dive with them in open water. It was a treat!
